Abstract

This paper describes the cooperation of nurses in the context of their professional team. The treatment of children and adolescents has changed dramatically in recent decades, positively influencing the results of work in medicine and nursing care. The changes themselves have brought new challenges, especially the necessity for cooperation of nurses both in the health care team and in the nursing professional group at all levels of health care. We have ascertained that the cooperation between nurses is inadequate, and that we too infrequently initiate cooperation with the goal of ensuring better quality treatment of children and adolescents and their families. Initially, we propose improved nursing care documentation and the consistent use of the discharge document, which should be the basis for further cooperation.

Key words: nurse, cooperation, child and adolescent.
