Abstract

Evans syndrome is an uncommon condition defined by either the simultaneous or sequential combination of immune thrombocytopenia and autoimmune haemolytic anaemia with or without the presence of neutropenia. The diagnosis of Evans syndrome is made after the exclusion of other causes. The goal of the case report is to draw attention to Evans syndrome as a possible cause of acquired immune cytopenia.

Key words: Evans syndrome, autoimmune thrombocytopenia, autoimmune haemolytic anaemia.
