Abstract

Long-term chronic disease is an obstacle to human life that affects a person not only physically, but also psychologically and socially. It affects his body and sometimes even more so, his feelings, experiences, emotions and social relationships. The experience of chronic illness calls into question the established ways of everyday life and the ways of experiencing ourselves. Life becomes uncertain. Chronic patients live for a long time as patients, sometimes all their life. So, it is not just a temporary role, but the permanent life situation of the individual who has to live in the world of the healthy, in a world where health is a moral and social norm. Finding the meaning of life with a chronic disease is not exactly easy in a world where values of good health for life dominate. Researchers have found that regardless of the type of chronic disease, people go through three stages: first, to meet with the diagnosis of the disease, then the second stage is to learn to cope and in the third stage, to learn to live with the disease. These findings are widespread and apply without regard to the diagnosis. The reactions that accompany each stage are very different.

Key words: chronic illness, child and adolescent, gastrointestinal tract, life.
