Abstract

Eating disorders in children and adolescents are becoming more and more common. Due to various risk factors, eating disorders are a complex disease. The earliest possible restoration of health is crucial. This paper describes a case of the care of a child and adolescent with eating disorders at the Children’s Hospital in Ljubljana, with an emphasis on nursing care and the role of nurses in child psychiatry.
