Abstract
The development of new medications has significantly improved the treatment of chronic patients. Many medications can be administered at home. Patients only come to hospital for check-ups. With the transfer of treatment from hospital to home, the parents and patients take care of the child’s health. Health education, where the nurse explains how to store, prepare and give the prescribed medicine, plays a very important role. The nurse plays a very important role as a health professional, teacher and psychologist. Communication skills are very important in enabling the nurse to get closer to the parents and their child.
Key words: nursing care, health education, nurse, chronic patient, antibiotics.
