Abstract

Lyme arthritis amongst children is a clinical sign of early disseminated or late Lyme disease. This article provides the theoretical basis for Lyme borreliosis, with an emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme arthritis. A six year old boy with Lyme arthritis of the knee, who was treated at the Division of paediatrics UMC Maribor, is presented.
