Abstract
Surgical interventions or extensive haemorrhaging in patients suffering from haemophilia require infusions of large quantities of factor concentrates immediately before the procedure and until the wound is healed. Factor is usually given as an intermittent infusion several times daily; however, a more physiological approach would be the continuous infusion of factor.
Key words: haemophilia, continuous infusion, coagulation factors.
