Abstract
Recent years have witnessed major strides in imaging modalities of the urinary tract, including different ultra-sound techniques and the use of ultrasound contrast medium (contrast-enhanced voiding urosonography), and magnetic resonance imaging, which have significantly influenced the development of paediatric uroradiology. The trend in modern radiology is towards a reduction in or elimination of radiation exposure and combined morphological and functional imaging. This article is devoted to various techniques of magnetic resonance urography, the currently accepted applications of magnetic resonance urography in paediatric urology, and the advantages and disadvantages of this examination.
Key words: magnetic resonance urography, children, indications, advantages, disadvantages.
