Abstract
The article gives a basic outline of clinical electroencephalography. Physiological and technical principles of electroencephalography are described. The characteristics of normal and abnormal rhythmic cerebral activity are followed by specic patterns by which the normality/abnormality of brain bioelectrical activity is assessed. The preparation of a patient and different electroencephalogram recording protocols are presented.
